The Street of Dreams Martin Sharp Trust is a charitable trust established under Martin Sharp’s will.

The purposes of the Trust are:

1) To seek funding to preserve the house and grounds known as “Wirian” which was Martin Sharp’s home for many years as a place for carrying on the works and projects in which he was involved, and as a place where people can be educated not only in relation to art and artists, but in relation to the work of Martin Sharp, the significance of Luna Park and the work of Tiny Tim;

2) Advance Martin Sharp’s work on Luna Park and Tiny Tim;

3) The protection and continuance of Martin Sharp’s work.

The future:

Under the terms of Martin Sharp’s will, the Trust is seeking an organisational partner that will bring Martin Sharp’s collections, and his creative legacy, to the people of Australia. The Trust’s mission is to "inspire all current and future generations, and preserve, present and advance the artistic legacy of Martin Sharp and his artistic endeavours through innovative public engagement, education, and research".

The Trust proposes to donate the entire contents of Martin Sharp’s home, "Wirian" in Sydney’s Bellevue Hill, to an appropriate partner institution in perpetuity, for future uses including exhibition, research, publishing, education, public programs, and merchandise development.

“I join with many others who have been aware of Martin’s contributions in expressing the hope that Wirian, the site of so much of his creativity will survive and will be preserved in such a way that it may inspire, encourage and contribute to the education of a new generation of artists.”
